Public Service Announcement – Billing Software Update

As many of you know, we had to switch billing software last January when our previous provider was purchased by a company called Gworks. At that time, we believed staying with the same company would make for an easy transition — but as many of you experienced, it turned out to be anything but painless.

In June 2025, the NBOWD Board of Directors voted to move to a more established utility billing provider with a strong track record of reliability and customer support. The board selected Ampstun Utility Billing Software.

So far, the transition has been a night-and-day improvement compared to the old system. That said, as with any major software change, there may still be some growing pains as we complete the switchover.

We began the transition last week and expect to be fully operational with the new software by the end of this week. Our first billing cycle using Ampstun will begin in early November, so please keep an eye out for your new-format bill at that time.

If you have any questions or notice anything unusual with your bill, please contact the NBOWD office. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue improving service for our community.

Thank you,
