About NBOWD
Nesika Beach Ophir Water District (NBOWD) was formed through the merger of the Nesika Beach Water District and the Ophir Water District. Since that time, the service area has expanded to include additional water connections beyond the original district boundaries. Today, NBOWD continues to grow while providing reliable water service to our coastal community.
NBOWD is governed by an elected Board of Directors made up of non-paid volunteers who live within the district. These community members oversee district policy and long-term planning, while day-to-day operations are managed by the District Manager. Together, they work to ensure consistent service and responsible stewardship of our shared water resources.
The district operates under the oversight of the Oregon Health Authority, which requires routine and periodic water quality testing. NBOWD meets these requirements through regular sampling to ensure the safety of our drinking water. Results of these tests are shared with the public each year in our annual Consumer Confidence Report, available on this website.
If you would like to establish water service within our service area, you can print an application from the Home Page or Billing Page of this website or stop by our office.
